Freedman Gallery (Albright College)
ARTstor is collaborating with Albright College's Freedman Gallery to share approximately 1,400 images from the Gallery's art holdings in the Digital Library. The collection in ARTstor will consist of paintings, sculptures, photographs, prints and other works on paper, primarily by contemporary artists such as Romare Bearden, Salvador Dali, Leonid Sokov, Brett Weston, and Mark Klett. Established in 1976, the the Freedman Gallery is a nationally recognized gallery dedicated to contemporary art. Named after co-founder Doris Chanin Freedman (1928–1981), a trustee and alumna of Albright College, the Freedman Gallery is housed in the College's Center for the Arts. Founded in 1856, Albright College is a nationally ranked, private liberal arts college in Reading, Pennsylvania.
