Allison Toepp

Assistant Vocabulary Editor

Allison Toepp is the Assistant Vocabulary Editor for ARTstor. She works closely with the Vocabulary Editor in the verification and warranting of creator names to be added to ARTstor's Name Authority File. In addition, Allison works collaboratively with the Vocabulary Editor, Director of Metadata and Cataloging, and other members of the metadata and technology team to improve the tools and services associated with the Name Authority File.

Allison joined ARTstor from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she worked in conjunction with the information desk staff to enhance and improve visitor experience. Prior to her work there, she worked in the Visual Resource Collection of Hobart and William Smith Colleges as a slide archivist and cataloger.

Allison received a BA in Studio Art and Art History from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, where she was awarded a travel grant to conduct research on art and education in Hanoi, Vietnam.
