Stephanie Krueger

Associate Director for Library Relations

Stephanie Krueger is Associate Director for Library Relations for ARTstor. She is responsible for growing ARTstor's global community of participating institutions. She manages the ARTstor Library Relations team and works on special projects, including streamlining of internal data transfer processes.

Before joining ARTstor, Krueger managed Library Relations for DRAM, a non-profit music streaming resource (2006-2007), and spent five years at JSTOR (2001-2006) in several capacities, including Assistant Director for International Library Relations. At JSTOR, she contributed to several technology projects, including the transition of the archive's search functionality to Lucene and the display of non-Latin characters in Tables of Contents pages. Krueger traveled extensively for JSTOR and worked closely with grant-funding bodies to support scholarship in many countries, including the Russian Federation and India. She has published articles on this work as well as about the challenges facing non-profit music technology projects. Before selecting non-profit initiatives as her area of focus, Krueger worked in the online media industry, where she managed business development and designed several high-profile web sites for automotive and media partners at Hass Associates (now Hass MS&L).

Krueger holds an MS in Information (University of Michigan), an MA in Educational Technology Leadership (George Washington University) and a BA in German/Public Service (summa cum laude) from Albion College. She was a Fulbright Student Scholar to Germany (University of Leipzig) in 1994, and is currently studying the community of artists displaced by the Bosnian War, contributing to the publication of Why the Dwarf Had to be Shot (Black Buzzard Press, 2008).
