Quaid Kocur
Imaging Production Supervisor
Quaid Kocur is ARTstor's Imaging Production Supervisor. He is in charge of supervising the work of the imaging staff , reviewing collections, coordinating the creation of launch files and their delivery to technology, helping to set digitization standards, and overseeing image error correction and quality control in the Digital Library. Quaid is also involved in developing budgets and project plans for new collections, tracking collection projects, and defining and maintaining departmental workflows and digital asset management systems.
Quaid comes to ARTstor with a background in both commercial and fine art photography. He spent the last three years working with the photography team at Burlington Coat Factory, where he photographed a wide range of products and conducted live model shoots, while also organizing and archiving the company's large digital library. During his stint at Fuller's Fine Art, an art auction and appraisal business, he worked conducting research, photography, cataloging, and all handling aspects of important and valuable art pieces. In addition, he helped fine art photographer Martha Madigan with her work and digitizing her collection. Quaid studied at Temple University, Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, where he majored in photography and glass blowing.
